The Metro Select League is the home of competitive soccer for boys and girls age 12 to 17. It is a highly competitive youth league for the best teams from the BC Lower Mainland Districts playing for League Championships. In all flights a MVP is recognized and presented with a trophy.
The League was established in 1984 as the “Boys Select League“. In 2011 the girls “Metro League” amalgamated to form the Metro Select League. The goal was to form a stronger and most competitive soccer league for Boys and Girls in the Lower Mainland
The league has been very successful and has introduced many changes, most notably the introduction of “Permits” which allows players the opportunity to be permitted from a lower division or age group to the MSL to compete at the higher level to further their soccer experience.
The League Champions automatically advance to the Provincial Cup. The top 3 teams are also seeded in the BC Coastal Cup.
The regular schedule runs from the first weekend after Labour Day through to approximately mid March. The League schedule games on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
